HEBRON

i have now been to Hebron. Eappi has a team there. so i went to visit.
Hebron is the secon largest city in the west bank. This is the only city that has settlements within the city. within the old city you find and see many settlements. in 1968 settlers hired a room in a hotell in the old city for 48 hours. then declared that they will not leave. This was the first settlement in Hebron.

walking around in the old city u feel that u are inside one big checkpoint, bulid up by many small ones.

u'll see many Israesli soldioers walking around, driving around and on the checkpoints.

In the marked u'll somewere find yourself walking under a net, this is because over the marked there is a settlers living. and they just trough there garbage down at/on the marked. so the Palestinans had to put a net up, to prevent the market for beeing full of garbage.

the settlers in hebron are there on religious beelifs. They mean that Hebron belongs to them.
Many of the streets and palces there, are forbidden for the Palestinans.
and the Palestinans have had to put nets and saecurity fences around their patios and teraases. o bee safe from stone troughing and etc.
The settlers moves around freely...
Isreaeli commander has alos ordered many shops to cloase, this has taken away the livelihood of thousned of the palestinans living in Hebron.

becuase of this the cityfeels like a ghost town.

the Israeli defense has in many incidents suprorted the settlers in their violence agains the Palestinans.

One example of this is the Cordoba School. Were the Plaestiansn kids go to school. On the other side of the street their is a settlerschool. And the kid from this school has been harassing the Palestinans children for a long time. trowning rocks at them, trying to puch them of the hill. While soldiers are standing looking.
